Lost & Found Pets

森林舞会 utilizes social media in order to assist citizens who are looking for their missing pet, or those who have found a pet that appears to be missing their owner.

森林舞会 cannot take in pets that are waiting to be found or claimed by their owner.聽

Report a missing pet

森林舞会 can assist by making an announcement on our Facebook page so that those who may see the lost pet can contact the owner. Here are other things you can do:

Conduct a Community Search

  • Check neighboring properties in case your pet is just in hiding.
  • Check the city pound in case your pet has been captured.
  • Post flyers with your pet鈥檚 current photo and your contact info.
  • Report to the barangay if you suspect they have been stolen.

"Help me find the owner of this missing pet."

We can post on our Facebook page to help widen the search. In the meantime, please foster the animal until they are claimed by the owner. Here are other things you can do:

Conduct a Community Search

  • Go door-to-door in case the owner lives in the area.
  • Check the pound/barangay if the owner has inquired about their pet.
  • Take the animal to the vet to scan for a microchip.
  • Post flyers with the animal's current photo and your contact info.*

*IMPORTANT:

When posting a found pet on your personal social media or in public groups (and when creating printed flyers), omit details such as the sex, color, and other identifying marks so that the owner can prove ownership by providing these details. Post only black and white photos of the pet. Doing this will protect the animal from opportunistic people who just want to score a free pet, especially if the animal is purebred.

Report a missing pet

Avoid losing your pet

  • Keep your pet indoors and/or secure it in your property.
  • Ensure your property is suitably fenced.
  • Attach a tag on your pet鈥檚 collar that indicates your pet鈥檚 name, as well as your name and contact details.
  • Consider microchipping. A microchip is a permanent electronic identification. The microchip allows vets to scan the dog for owner identification.
  • Always use a leash when taking your pet out. Hold the leash at all times.
  • Constantly supervise your pet when in public.
  • Have your pet spayed/neutered to minimize their urge to roam and find a mate.
DID YOU KNOW? The Anti Rabies Act of 2007 (RA 9482) Sec. 5. states that all Pet Owners are required to maintain control over their dog and not allow it to roam the streets or any public place without a leash.
